People often ask what happens in the first fifteen minutes, as though there were a single answer. There is not. But there is a rough sequence that many first-time explorers describe, and we can share it in that spirit — as a common pattern, attributed to the people who report it, and free of any promise that it will be yours.
First, the Color
The color arrives before anything else. Sealed inert gases, excited into plasma, throw a light that no bulb makes: the deep coral of neon, the cool violet of argon, the pale blues of krypton and xenon, moving through the twelve tubes of the Carousel and up the tall quartz column at the center. Explorers often say the first minute is simply looking — that the eye does not want to do anything but follow the color. We think this is the honest place to begin, because it is the part everyone agrees on.
Then, the Hum
A resonant transformer has a sound. It is not loud, and it is not quite mechanical; observers describe it as a hum that seems to sit in the chest rather than the ears. Some find it takes a few minutes to stop listening for it and start resting under it. Many say the hum is what tells the body it has arrived somewhere different from the room it walked in from. As with everything here, we pass this along as their experience and not as a claim about yours.
Then, the Settling
The third thing is the hardest to name, and the one people reach for most. After the color and the hum, many describe a settling — a slackening in the shoulders, a slower breath, a sense that the usual internal noise has dropped a register. Some feel it at five minutes, some not until the session is nearly done, some not at all. We want to be plain about that last group: sitting in the field and noticing very little is an ordinary outcome, and it is not a failure of anything.
The field is not a treatment to receive. It is a condition to sit inside.
What We Will and Won't Say
We will not tell you the field heals, fixes, or resolves anything, because we do not make those claims and the instrument is not cleared to. What we will say is what explorers say: that fifteen minutes inside a coherent, high-frequency field is, for many, a quiet and unusual experience — color, then sound, then a stillness they did not quite arrange for themselves.
Come without a target and you will likely notice more. The field is not a treatment to receive. It is a condition to sit inside, for a quarter of an hour, and see what you notice.
